Terms and Conditions

Welcome to MEZnet. By accessing or using any of our services (meznet.com, MEZ Laser, MEZ Cutter and future products), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use our services.

1. Acceptance

By registering, accessing or using MEZnet services, you confirm that: (i) you are at least 13 years old; (ii) you have read and accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy; (iii) you have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.

2. Service Description

MEZnet is a digital fabrication software suite that includes:

• MEZ Laser — web platform and desktop application for laser engraving image processing.
• MEZ Cutter — design editor and controller for vinyl cutting plotters (in development).
• Complementary services: community gallery, credit system and desktop app licensing.
• MEZ Manager — MEZ Manager — commercial management panel: quotes, orders, customer portal and workshop–customer communication.
• MEZLink — MEZLink — real-time image relay from mobile devices to MEZ Desktop.
• MEZ Desktop — MEZ Desktop — native application that extends MEZ Laser on the user's computer; requires an active session.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. EU users between 13 and 16 require verifiable parental consent.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities carried out under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

4. Credits, Subscriptions and Payments

Registered users receive free credits daily. Anonymous users have limited access to a shared global counter.

Additional credits may be purchased and never expire.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment granting access to the service for as long as MEZnet operates commercially. It does not guarantee perpetual access if the service is discontinued.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of our services:

• Credits already used are non-refundable.
• Subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing period has begun, unless required by applicable law.
• If you experience technical issues preventing use of the service, contact us — we assess each case individually.
• EU users have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases, provided they have not accessed the digital content before exercising that right.

Unauthorised chargebacks may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use MEZnet services to:

• Upload, process or share illegal, defamatory content or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.
• Carry out denial-of-service attacks (DoS/DDoS) or any activity that harms the infrastructure.
• Circumvent security systems, authentication or usage limits.
• Scrape, data-mine or access the service in an automated way without written authorisation.
• Use the service or its results to train AI models without authorisation.
• Impersonate another person or entity.

7. Intellectual Property

All MEZnet software, code, algorithms, designs, trademarks and trade names are the exclusive property of MEZnet or its licensors. No licence is granted over our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to access the service.

You retain all rights over images you upload. By uploading content, you grant us only the limited, non-exclusive and revocable licence needed to process and display that content to you.

Processed images are yours. You may use them freely, including for commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Services are provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MEZnet shall not be liable for: (i) indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages; (ii) loss of data, revenue or profits; (iii) damage resulting from using processed images on physical equipment; (iv) service interruptions beyond our control.

In jurisdictions that do not allow total exclusion of liability, MEZnet's maximum liability will be limited to the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the event, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MEZnet and its employees, officers and agents from any claim, damage, obligation, loss, liability, cost or debt arising from: (i) your use of the service; (ii) your breach of these Terms; (iii) your infringement of third-party rights; (iv) any content you upload or share through the service.

10. Suspension and Cancellation

We may suspend or cancel your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive activities. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits or subscriptions, unless the law provides otherwise.

11. Force Majeure

MEZnet shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet infrastructure failures, cyber-attacks, pandemics, governmental acts or interruptions by external service providers.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve it in good faith within 30 days through direct communication. If no resolution is reached, the dispute will be referred to mediation before any legal or arbitral proceedings. EU users may also refer to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico (Estados Unidos Mexicanos), the service provider's place of establishment, and unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico. For EU/EEA and UK consumers: you retain the mandatory consumer protections of your country of habitual residence and may bring claims before the courts of that country. For users in any other jurisdiction: nothing in this clause deprives you of non-waivable rights granted by the law of your country of residence.

14. General Provisions

• Severability — if any clause is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the agreement stays in force.
• Entire agreement — these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
• Waiver — MEZnet's failure to exercise any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment — you may not assign these Terms without MEZnet's prior written consent.

15. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.

MEZ Manager — Specific Terms

• Workshop customer data: By registering customers in MEZ Manager, the workshop declares it has authorization to store their data. MEZnet acts as data processor; the workshop is the controller.
• Payments: MEZnet does not store card data. Online payments in the customer portal are processed by Stripe, MercadoPago or PayPal according to the workshop's configuration.
• Customer portal: The workshop generates and shares portal links. It is responsible for the information it exposes to its customers through them.
• Design storage: Uploaded images are stored in Supabase Storage. MEZnet may delete files from closed or inactive orders after 12 months of inactivity.
• Subscription: The Complete Plan is managed through Polar.sh. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rata refunds are issued for unused periods.

MEZLink — Specific Terms

• Ephemeral relay: Images transmitted via MEZLink are not permanently stored on MEZnet servers. The relay is temporary and deleted after confirmed delivery or job expiration.
• Availability: MEZLink requires an internet connection on both devices. MEZnet does not guarantee minimum latency or continuous availability of the relay service.
• Linked session: MEZLink requires an active MEZ Laser session. Access ceases when the session expires or is closed.

MEZ Desktop — Specific Terms

• License: MEZ Desktop requires an active subscription or lifetime license for MEZ Laser. The license is personal, non-transferable and cannot be assigned to third parties.
• Updates: Updates are free during the active subscription period or for lifetime licenses. MEZnet may modify features without prior notice, though it will attempt to communicate significant changes.
• Offline use: Some features are available without an internet connection. Those requiring validation with MEZnet servers need periodic connectivity.

Payments, Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal

CANCELLATION: To cancel your subscription, access your account at Polar.sh or write to us at soporte@meznet.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billed period; you retain access until that date.

REFUNDS: Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law. MEZ Laser credits do not expire and are not refundable in cash. Lifetime licenses are final and non-refundable once activated.

PRICE CHANGES: MEZnet will notify price changes at least 30 days in advance by email to the registered address. Active subscribers may cancel before the new price takes effect.
